Jack Webb

Android Developer and Software Engineer

Hello, I'm Jack, a software engineer from the UK.

I work with all kinds of software, but Android is my bread-and-butter, which I currently do for Just Eat Takeaway.com. The breadth and depth of their operation, and the continually evolving nature of the industry, make for some really interesting engineering challenges.

I enjoy pushing processes and developer experience forwards, whilst still delivering slick features with thoughtful UX to customers. I take pride in finding pragmatic and elegant ways to balance these demands. Even the most brilliant engineering is meaningless if it doesn't serve the needs of its users, or the goals of the org.

As you might have guessed, I have extensive experience in both platform and feature mobile teams, and I enjoy both equally. Aside from that, I've worked on loads of other projects and products, with all kinds of interesting technologies.

Some of the cool stuff includes cute humanoid robots, local home automation, robotic sailing boats, online community infrastructure, sim racing, and more. I love novel hardware & software, particularly when it's free and open-source, and especially when its solving a real problem that's close at hand.

If you want to talk any of those things, or have a new prospect, hit me up! Email me at hello@jackwebb.me, or find me on Github or LinkedIn.
